Presenting like Steve Jobs

I ran across a blog post on http://www.twistimage.com/blog today; it was a link to a YouTube video about presenting like Steve Jobs.

Most people would agree that Steve Jobs is dynamic, exciting, and entertaining presenter. I always enjoy watching him speak, and this video gives a nice 10,000 foot view of the components that make up the Steve Jobs magic. Many people will never have the personal aura and charisma that Steve Jobs has, but learning how to simplify and streamline presentations, Steve Jobs style, will definitely benefit any business person.

Writing with LiveWriter

I haven't used standalone blogging software before, but wanted to try to consolidate my blog posting, manage posts, and have a nice UI to generate new posts.

The first software I've tried out is Microsoft's LiveWriter

Has a nice interface, picked up my Community Server blog and my Blogspot blog with no problems...

Try it out, it's free!

Depends what the definition of 'is' is...

DFS-Visit

In a book that i thought i would never pick up again, Cormen - Leiserson - Rivest, there's a nice graph algorithm called 'DFS-Visit' that i implemented in C.
it's very convenient for traversing a graph and picking out the cross, forward, and back edges.
(Although cross/forward edges very depending on the edge traversal order!)

Back from Hiatus

So it's been two or three years since my last post, and you've all been wondering whether this was some kind of test of the Halting problem.
However, I'm back at school taking a compilers class. Advanced compilers. Which, apparently, you dont need to have the beginning compilers class first. Maybe i'll take Advanced Advanced Compilers next semester...

Bus Arbiter passes the torch...

Once only the apprentice, now the 8289 is the master.
You must see it, the 8289 is the chosen one.
Clouded your open collector gates are, treacherous the /BPRN signal is.

Extra! Extra! Labs are useless!

According to The Gandhi, "if you did the lab, you probably didn't learn anything." Good thing i'm one step ahead of him and don't do the labs anyway. (j/k) At least we can take our Sweet Time(TM) in doing the labs, since they are useless.
